The scientist hopes to protect “office plankton” from stress in this way
An inventor from Naberezhnye Chelny, Vitaly Dusmanov, received a patent for an office chair with a roof. A strange invention at first glance, in his opinion, should protect open space workers (open office spaces) from stress and increase their performance.
The device is a regular office chair with a backrest on casters. The main difference is the folding canopy attached to it, the same as on baby strollers. It can be either permanently attached or removable.
As the inventor explained to MK, he was prompted to the idea of creating a chair by his experience of working in “open space.” Personal experience showed him that he has many disadvantages: office neighbors are distracting, and air conditioners that work directly above the workplace are always a potential opportunity to catch a cold. World experience also shows that open spaces irritate the people who work in them, increase stress levels, and reduce productivity.
The inventor believes that a canopy over an employee’s desk chair will make it possible to create personal space even in an open space and will help get rid of work noise and other impacts of a large office.
