Russian hackers disrupted two Ukrainian providers providing public communications

Russian hackers “Solntsepek” attacked the Ukrainian providers Faust and Hornet, which ensure the functioning of the country’s state communications. About it reported in the Telegram channel of cyber experts.
“Today we, the Solntsepek hackers, attacked the Internet providers Faust and Harnet, which ensure the operation of the 2nd territorial government communications center of the State Special Communications Service of Ukraine,” the message says.
They added that the two attacked Ukrainian providers also use the communications center of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the district administrations of the Kyiv region, as well as defense units.
The hackers noted that during the attack the work of the above-mentioned departments was disrupted. In addition, they had at their disposal important documents from hacked Internet providers.
