Servicemen of the North Caucasian District of the Russian Guard became winners and prize-winners of the departmental championship in hand-to-hand combat. The tournament, which took place the other day in Nizhny Novgorod, was dedicated to the memory of military journalist Anatoly Yagodin, the press service of the department reports.
The athletes from the North Caucasus competed with the strongest athletes of the National Guard from all over Russia. As a result of the competition, Lieutenant Islamu Chamsaev from the North Caucasus Federal District took gold in the weight category of 73 kilograms, Lieutenant Salimgerey Rasulov – silver in the weight category over 97 kilograms.
Islam Chamsaev and Salimgerey Rasulov are titled fighters. Both are winners and prize-winners not only of departmental competitions, but also of all-Russian and international competitions.
