Russian Greco-Roman wrestler Sergei Semenov defeated Turkish athlete Ryzu Kayaalpa with a score of 4:2 in the final of the European Championship in the weight category up to 130 kg and won the gold medal. The competition takes place in Bucharest.

Earlier, Russian athletes Anvar Allahyarov and Adlet Tyulubayev received bronze medals at the championship in the categories up to 63 kg and up to 77 kg, respectively. They are also Greco-Roman wrestlers.

The European Wrestling Championship takes place at the Polyvalent Hall concert hall from February 12 to 18. It competes for medals in 30 weight categories for men and women in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
