Russian Foreign Ministry: shelling of a hospital in Novoaydar by the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a war crime

On Saturday, January 28, the Ukrainian army launched a strike from the HIMARS MLRS on a hospital in Novoaydar in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR), using intelligence and satellite information from NATO countries. Such targeted killing of civilians is a grave war crime. This is stated in statement Russian Foreign Ministry.
“The deliberate shelling of existing civilian medical facilities and the targeted killing of civilians are grave war crimes of the Kyiv regime and its Western masters,” reads a statement posted on the website of the Foreign Ministry.
They stressed that as a result of the shelling, 14 people were killed, another 24 citizens were injured of varying severity. The Russian Foreign Ministry also noted that after the shelling of Novoaydar, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired 17 missiles at Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson region.
Formerly Acting Governor of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik declaredthat the strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on peaceful targets in the region will result in “serious consequences for the whole world.”
