Russian Foreign Ministry accused Romania of immoral support of the Kyiv regime

The decision of the Romanian authorities to radically reduce the number of employees of Russian foreign missions in this country is yet another hostile attack against Russia. This statement was made on Thursday, June 8, by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova.
The official warned that such a step would lead to further degradation of bilateral relations, which, thanks to the efforts of Bucharest, had already been brought to a deplorable state.
Zakharova also pointed out that Romania’s attempt to “cover up” its actions with false accusations against Russia because of its ongoing special military operation “reflects Romania’s immoral support for the Nazi regime in Kiev.”
Moscow will not leave the hostile actions of Bucharest unanswered, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry promised.
Earlier, the press service of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the decision of the Romanian authorities reduce the number of employees of the Russian embassy for 51 employees: 21 diplomats and 30 technical and administrative staff, leaving 11 diplomats and 29 employees. Bucharest motivated this by the need to bring the number of diplomats and technical and administrative staff of the Russian mission in line with the level of the Romanian embassy in Moscow.
