Russian fighter-interceptors made a planned flight over the Pacific Ocean

Two MiG-31BM interceptor fighters on duty in Kamchatka conducted planned flights over the Pacific Ocean, reported in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Aircraft pilots from a separate mixed aviation regiment of forces in the North-East of Russia worked out flights at low temperatures in the absence of visible landmarks.
“The main task during the event was to improve the skills of performing the assigned tasks by the crews of the MiG-31BM fighters when on combat duty for air defense in the regions of the Far North,” the ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry of Defense added that at the end of December 2022, two more MiG-31BM aircraft arrived in Kamchatka, improved at the Sokol aircraft manufacturing plant in Nizhny Novgorod.
