The cricket championship was held on the field of KFU named after V. I. Vernadsky.

The competition was organized within the framework of the Crimean Student Cricket League. 12 teams of the university participated in them. Clubs from other universities were not able to come this year. They are going to be invited next to create a full-fledged league.

A national team has already been formed at KFU. Cricket is popular – more than 300 foreign students are involved in it. The university administration plans to install a pitch, a 25-meter all-weather track, and create a full-fledged playing field.

“We have about five football fields at the university, but not a single cricket field, so we plan to reformat one of the sites,” said the rector of KFU. V. I. Vernadsky Andrei Falaleev in an interview with the press service of the university.
