The Ministry of Education of Russia approved the list of working professions for which training is conducted in colleges, it included the specialty “operator of unmanned aerial systems”, said the head of the department Sergey Kravtsov during the plenary session of the Moscow Urban Forum.

“It includes 5110 items. More than 250 new in-demand professions have appeared on the list, in particular, an operator of unmanned aerial systems with a maximum takeoff weight of 30 kg or less,” said Mr. Kravtsov (quoted from TASS).

He clarified that students will be able to study working professions both in institutions of secondary vocational education and in various centers, including those created at enterprises.

In July, Senator Artem Sheikin, deputy chairman of the council for the development of the digital economy under the Federation Council, said that as part of the lessons of initial military training, Russian schoolchildren would be taught to control drones, the first lessons would begin in a number of regions from the new academic year. At the same time, in a number of subjects (for example, in the Rostov region), such classes with schoolchildren started still in the spring. In April, Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of ​​teaching schoolchildren how to operate drones.
