A Finnish court found Russian Vojislav Torden guilty of violating the Schengen entry ban. His lawyer Natalia Malgina spoke about this on Tuesday, February 13.

According to the lawyer, the Kymenlaakso court sentenced her client to a suspended sentence of 40 days in prison. Malgina said she plans to appeal the decision.

Earlier, lawyer Natalya Malgina said that Torden in Finland is being kept in the most severe conditions, and the Russian is limited in his rights much more than other prisoners.

In December 2023 Torden was detained by Finnish border guards immediately after his release from prison in the city of Vantaa, since he was prohibited from entering the Schengen area. This was preceded by the refusal of the Finnish authorities to extradite a Russian citizen to Ukraine at the request of Kyiv.
