Russian Sharabutdin Ataev defeated Loren Alfonso Dominguez from Azerbaijan at the IBA Champions Night tournament and received the title of International Boxing Association (IBA) champion. The 10-round fight, which took place in Dushanbe in the weight category up to 86 kg, ended in a decision by the judges.
The 24-year-old Ataev now has seven victories and still no defeats. He is the 2023 world champion and two-time Russian champion. Dominguez, 28, is an Azerbaijani boxer of Cuban descent. Bronze medalist of the 2020 Olympics, champion of the 2021 World and 2019 European Games, silver medalist of the 2023 World Championships.
