World boxing champion according to WBC, WBO, IBF light heavyweight (up to 79.4 kg), Russian Artur Beterbiev knocked out Briton Callum Smith during a fight held at the Videotron Center arena in Quebec, Canada. Thus, the 38-year-old Russian boxer managed to defend all his championship titles.
As noted “Sport Express”during the seventh round of the fight, Artur Beterbiev first knocked down his opponent, after which the British boxer was knocked out.
“You know, it happened again. My coach and my team worked well. But there was some luck. We had a couple of strategies, not just one, we were prepared. He gave me a good fight and stayed strong. And one of the strategies worked. Thanks to my coach, I just follow him,” said the Russian boxer after winning the fight for three championship belts. It is still unknown with whom and when he will fight his next fight.
Artur Beterbiev, who now competes under the Canadian flag, has 20 victories in 20 professional fights (all of them were won by knockout).
