The Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, during a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, said that the indicator of life expectancy in Russia is currently 73.4 years, and infant mortality is 4.1 ppm.
According to the head of the Russian Ministry of Health, the dynamics that remain in the current year – life expectancy at the moment has already exceeded the pre-pandemic period and amounted to 73.4 years, and infant mortality, in turn, amounted to 4.1 ppm.
The minister pointed out that in terms of infant mortality last year, a historical minimum was recorded, and this figure reached 4.4 per thousand. According to Murashko, this was a new record that had already been broken in 2023.
