Russian Ambassador: Germany does not involve Moscow in the Nord Stream investigation

The German authorities still do not consider it necessary to involve Russia in the details of the investigation into explosions at the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergei Nechaev spoke about this on Friday, January 19.
As the diplomat noted on the Rossiya-24 TV channel, this attitude of Berlin raises reasonable questions about the impartiality and objectivity of the investigation.
Nechaev emphasized that “it is difficult to believe that in the 21st century, having all the necessary technical arsenal, it is impossible to uncover a major, unprecedented terrorist attack against strategic European infrastructure that occurred somewhere “under our noses.”
Earlier, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova informed that Moscow received Denmark’s refusal to provide legal assistance in the investigation of the Nord Stream accident. According to her, this only confirmed the course of the Danish authorities to conceal the truth about the true customers and perpetrators of the terrorist attack.
At the same time, Moscow admitted that the Russian side may demand compensation for blowing up Nord Stream after the investigation was completed. However, there is no official data on this yet.
