Russian Ambassador to Slovakia Igor Bratchikov in a conversation with Izvestiya said that the Slovak authorities had decided that up to 3,000 military personnel of the North Atlantic Alliance could be in the country at the same time.
He clarified that, among other things, military facilities located in Slovakia will be adapted and modernized for the presence of NATO forces in the republic.
“Under the presence of NATO military personnel in Slovakia, existing military facilities will be modernized. There will be adaptation to new types of military equipment and weapons. The authorities of the republic have repeatedly declared their readiness to build up the military contingent of the North Atlantic Alliance,” Bratchikov said.
According to him, at the moment, representatives of Bratislava supply weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and thereby violate the Russian-Slovak agreements, according to which the transfer of weapons and military equipment to third countries without the permission of the country of origin is prohibited.
In particular, the Slovak authorities have already handed over to the Kyiv regime the S-300 and Kub air defense systems, 13 MiG-29 fighters, 5 Mi helicopters, 30 BMP-1s.
