The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) carried out several strikes on a militant base in Syria, which was used to repair armored vehicles, said Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in the Arab Republic (CPVS).

“Over the past 24 hours, the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out three air strikes on the repair base of the militants’ armored vehicles,” he said during the briefing, explaining that the bombing was carried out in response to shelling of Syrian targets by armed militant groups.

According to TsPVS, Russian airstrikes killed more than 20 militants and destroyed shelters and repair shops for tanks and other armored vehicles and pickup trucks.

They also called on the militants to stop shelling, “otherwise, high-precision air strikes aimed at eliminating the militants involved in the provocations will continue.”

On October 15, it was reported that the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out high-precision airstrikes on terrorist targets located in the Idlib de-escalation zone in Syria, as a result of which a mobile installation of a multiple launch rocket system on a pickup truck, five attack unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as two control posts and two underground shelters of illegal armed groups.
