In Russia, from 2024, the decree on the boundaries of the exclusion zone after the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is cancelled. This is stated in the new resolution, signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
In the exclusion zone extending to the territory of Russia, there are now four villages in the Bryansk region. According to the new document, from January 1, 2024, settlements will be excluded from the zone.
Also, the number of settlements in the resettlement zone is reduced from 25 to 11. It differs from the exclusion zone in that it will be possible to live in it after the radiation level is reduced to an acceptable level.
