It is also planned to open a special website for foreign citizens to apply for unified electronic visas to protect against DDoS attacks. This was reported in the Department of Information and Press of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

“Currently, work is underway to modernize consular information systems and a specialized website of the Russian Foreign Ministry for issuing unified electronic visas to foreign citizens in order to ensure their effective protection against unprecedentedly massive DDoS attacks,” the message says.

After the work is completed, the country’s leadership will be put forward a proposal for the practical launch of an electronic visa system.
