Izvestia: Russia will deprive Britain of the right to fish in the Barents Sea
Russia wants to ban Britain from fishing in the waters of the Barents Sea. This was reported “News”.
According to the publication, we are talking about the denunciation of the 1956 agreement, which was concluded between Great Britain and the USSR.
It is clarified that the bill was submitted to the apparatus of the Russian government by the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Agriculture. At the moment, as the publication notes, this bill has already been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
“According to the bill, the Russian authorities decided to take such a step after Britain excluded Russia from the most favored nation regime in trade. This happened in March last year,” Izvestia added.
The Cabinet of Ministers, in turn, emphasized that this decision will not cause any serious economic and foreign policy consequences for the Russian Federation.
