Russia wants to spend almost a trillion rubles on the development of unmanned aircraft

A total of 898.4 billion rubles may be invested in the development of civil unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in Russia until 2030. This follows from the passport of the national project “Unmanned aerial systems”, which Vedomosti got acquainted with. Including 696.9 billion will be allocated from the federal budget, 143.6 billion – from the regional, the rest – from extrabudgetary sources. Funds from the National Welfare Fund are not provided for financing.
According to the instructions of President Vladimir Putin, the national project for the development of BAS must be approved by September 2023. Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov has been appointed curator of the national project, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry Denis Manturov has been appointed head of the national project, follows from the passport of the national project.
