Russia sent a note to the Polish Foreign Ministry due to the news about the arrest of two Russians

The Russian embassy in Warsaw responded to reports of the arrest in Poland of two Russian citizens accused of espionage and propaganda. This was announced on Monday, August 14, by Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergey Andreev.

The diplomat clarified that there was no official notification from the Polish authorities about the arrest of the Russians, and there were no appeals from the representatives of the arrested.

The diplomatic mission expects to receive a response to its note within three days, as prescribed by the consular convention. Based on this, the Russian side will take further actions.

The note was sent after the Minister of the Interior of Poland, Mariusz Kaminski, announced the arrest by the Polish special services. two citizens of the Russian Federationwho are accused of espionage and distribution of propaganda materials of the private military company Wagner.

Before that, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki reported that over the past year, illegal migrants from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus tried to cross the Polish border 16 thousand times.
