The decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the abolition of the visa regime for citizens of Georgia has come into force. This is evidenced by the document published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
Now citizens of Georgia who arrive in Russia for up to 90 days no longer need to apply for visas.
At the same time, citizens of the republic who arrive in the Russian Federation for the purpose of obtaining education or work, as well as those who intend to stay in the country for more than 90 days, will have to obtain Russian visas.
On May 10, the President of Russia signed a decree on the abolition of the visa regime for citizens of Georgia. In addition, Russian airlines were allowed to operate flights to the republic.
