Russia introduces a ban on driving, stopping and parking on safety islands
[ad_1]
On March 1, changes in the traffic rules (SDA) came into force in Russia, which prohibit movement, stopping and parking on guide islands and safety islands. The government decree on this was approved in October last year. The main purpose of these changes is to improve visibility on the roads and ensure traffic safety.
The “safety island” was already regulated by the traffic rules, and the “guide island” became a new concept, which is an element of the road infrastructure located on the same level with the carriageway or elevated above it. Its task is to provide favorable conditions for the separation and merging of traffic flows.
Given these changes in traffic rules, drivers should be especially careful on the roads and follow the rules in order to avoid violations and ensure the safety of themselves and others.
