Newspaper “News” reports that the Ministry of Economic Development and External Relations of the Amur Region is asking to limit sales of ice cream with alcohol. The department addressed the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation with a corresponding request. According to regional authorities, these products should be sold exclusively in public catering, and it is also necessary to establish a ban on their sale to minors.
The concern of the regional authorities is that these products are not included in the concept of alcoholic beverages, because the delicacy is included in the list of exceptions that are not considered alcoholic by the regulator. Thus, it is not subject to federal alcohol restrictions.
The introduction of restrictions received the support of Rosalkogoltabakkontrol, as evidenced by documents reviewed by Izvestia.
