The Duma proposed abolishing the mandatory state exam for children with disabilities in the ninth grade
Representatives of the factions “United Russia”, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Liberal Democratic Party and “A Just Russia – For Truth” sent an appeal to the Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov with a proposal for the possible abolition of the mandatory state exam in the ninth grade for children with disabilities.
The initiators of the letter were high-ranking members of State Duma committees: Yana Lantratova (SRZP), Yaroslav Nilov (LDPR), Ekaterina Stenyakina (United Russia), Nina Ostanina (KPRF) and Timur Kanokov (also SRZP).
The document emphasizes the need to consider the feasibility of abolishing the mandatory state final certification in basic educational programs for children with disabilities. Representatives of the factions ask to express the position of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation on this issue.
