Zakharova: over a thousand deported citizens from Latvia will be provided with social support
Official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova said that more than a thousand citizens whom the Latvian authorities will expel from the country will provide social conditions. Such an order was given to Russian departments and regions.
According to Zakharova, the order to local authorities was announced in connection with the possible deportation of Russians from Latvia. They need to solve the problem of their placement, employment, pensions and other issues.
Earlier, the Latvian authorities announced that they would have to expel more than a thousand Russian citizens because they did not have time to submit an application for a temporary residence permit in time.
