Russia has increased investments in US government securities – Kommersant

The volume of Russian investments in US government securities in August amounted to $31 million. This is $2 million more than in July.
Data published on website US Treasury. Long-term securities accounted for $26 million of Russian investments, short-term ones – $5 million. The largest holders of American government debt remain Japan ($1.1 trillion), China ($805.4 billion) and the UK ($698.1 billion).
Russian investments in US government bonds reached a maximum ($176.3 billion) in October 2010. They began to decline sharply in April 2018, after another round of sanctions. From April 2023, investments range from $29 million to $35 million.
