Russia has created an application to warn about suspicious drones

The Russians will be able to inform the authorities about the drones they see, as well as about explosions, sabotage, unidentified objects or suspicious cases using mobile phones. The Cyberdruzhina application, which, according to MK, was developed under the auspices of the Popular Front (which in turn is supervised by the presidential administration), will be available for download on marketplaces next week.
To transmit information, users will need to register on the platform and send their coordinates, and in the case of a report about a drone, also indicate in which direction it flies so that the object can be tracked in dynamics.
All data collected by the application will be transferred to the special services without delay.
Previously, the Popular Front has already launched a special bot @KiberDruzhina_bot in Telegram, through which you can also report on drones. The bot calls users “private” who have joined the cybertroops, and encourages them to complete tasks to become “generals” (For example, write complaints about sources where fakes and Russophobic statements are published). The mobile application, apparently, will be designed in the same style.
The fact that the Russians should get a communication channel for transmitting specific information started after the drone attack on Moscow in early May, when residents of the capital bombarded emergency services with reports of drones that were seen in as many as 15 districts of the city. Not a single UAV was eventually found, but the mayor’s office instructed employees of governments, prefectures, schools and hospitals, as well as public utilities to monitor the situation.
The State Duma also called on the special services to get in touch with the people. The head of the State Duma Defense Committee, Andrey Kartapolov, proposed creating a hotline or a short number specifically for reporting drones seen by citizens. “It is necessary to make sure that an ordinary person has the opportunity to quickly convey information to those who make decisions and it immediately finds itself where it should be,” he said.
