Russia first struck a tunnel in Transcarpathia

Scout Matviychuk told how the loss of this object will turn out for Ukraine

On Friday, August 11, the Russian Aerospace Forces, it seems, launched a missile attack on a tunnel in Transcarpathia for the first time. Some time after the air operation, Ukrainian sources reported about the strike on a certain civilian object. In addition, as a result of strikes, enemy military airfields were damaged in a number of areas.

According to a military expert, retired colonel Anatoly Matvichuk, Russia has declared all Ukrainian airfields as target No. 1. It is from here that Ukrainian aircraft carrying long-range NATO missiles can take off.

An air alert was announced during the day in Khmelnitsky, Vinnitsa, Kyiv regions, as well as in Ivano-Frankivsk. Later, information was received that loud explosions thundered in all designated areas.

Despite the fact that the enemy, as a rule, remains silent after the strikes, some objects nevertheless became known. It seems that this time most of the arrivals were collected by enemy airfields. The explosion thundered near the Zhuliany airport in Kyiv. In the Khmelnitsky region, another blow was struck at the Starokonstantinov military airfield. In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, an arrival at the Kolomiya airfield was recorded. According to some reports, the airfield where the aircraft carriers of the Storm Shadow missiles were based was completely destroyed.

– All airfields that are located on the territory of Ukraine are declared targets No. 1 for destruction. The fact is that Su-24 and Su-27 aircraft are based on them – they are carriers of such long-range missiles as Storm Shadow, TAURUS, etc. Therefore, all the strikes that we inflicted are absolutely legal, they were legitimate targets for the Russian Federation – told “MK” military expert, intelligence officer Anatoly Matviychuk.

On Ukrainian resources, there was news about a hit on a civilian object in the Carpathian region. The Telegram channel “Summary and Analytics of the SVO” writes about the strike on the tunnel: “The strike on the tunnel in the Transcarpathian region is confirmed. Development of the “Dagger”.

According to expert Anatoly Matviychuk, by striking the tunnel, the Russian army cuts off part of the supplies to Ukraine from NATO countries:

– If so, this is very positive news. For a long time we did not strike at this facility, as we considered this infrastructure to be civilian, ensuring the life of the country. But the fact is that, according to international laws, a civilian object that is used for military purposes is automatically considered a military one.

These tunnels in the Carpathians are used for the transfer of Western equipment. And I believe that we struck with the aim of preventing the supply of weapons from Poland and Romania, in order to stop the build-up of the Ukrainian army.

Information on objects in other areas is still too little information. In the Vinnytsia region, in addition to logistics hubs and fuel storage facilities, there are several key facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Attacks could have been made on the 48th arsenal in Kalinovka, as well as on the base of the 748th separate radar company.

It is also possible that the facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Yamnitsa, Ivano-Frankivsk region, were re-tested. There, in the industrial zone of a large cement plant, the Armed Forces of Ukraine could equip logistics terminals for receiving and storing NATO weapons and ammunition.

In the Khmelnytsky region, in addition to the Starokonstantinov airfield, experts recalled, there is the 1282th center for providing armored weapons and equipment, the base of the 19th missile brigade, the 8th separate regiment of the Special Forces, the 48th separate engineering brigade, the 143rd demining center.
