Russia finally left the jurisdiction of the ECtHR

On September 16, Russia finally left the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights.
This date was determined back in March by a decision of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. Russia was under the jurisdiction of the ECtHR in 1998 when it ratified the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
Reportedly, since 1998, the ECHR has ruled 24 times against Russia, and on the last day the Russian Federation was under its jurisdiction, it issued 50 decisions at once on complaints from Russians.
Now the court will cease to consider complaints filed against Russia for actions committed after September 16th. At the same time, the ECtHR will consider all applications for violations committed before September 16, and will also continue to monitor the decisions already made.
