“As for criticism of Russia, the Russian peacekeeping contingent, in this situation, I believe that this is unacceptable. We have repeatedly said that the Russian peacekeepers are doing everything possible to resolve the situation on the ground. No public attacks help the cause, the situations were worse. We are working to improve this situation,” the diplomat said.
On December 29, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the Armenian government expects a roadmap from Russia to unblock the Lachin corridor. He added that if Russia “for objective or subjective” reasons cannot ensure stability in the unrecognized republic, then a “multinational peacekeeping contingent” must be sent to Nagorno-Karabakh. Pashinyan invites Moscow to bring this issue to the UN Security Council.
