The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that as a result of negotiations on June 11, 94 servicemen were returned. Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said that as a result of the exchange, 95 Ukrainian soldiers returned to the country.

“On June 11, as a result of the negotiation process, 94 Russian servicemen were returned from the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime, who were in mortal danger in captivity,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement (quoted by TASS).

The department clarified that the returned military will be taken to the medical facilities of the Ministry of Defense for treatment and rehabilitation. They are receiving the necessary medical and psychological assistance, the ministry said.

“Exchange of prisoners. We are returning home 95 of our people. The list includes soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, as well as border guards. Among them are 93 privates and sergeants and two officers,” the head of the office of the President of Ukraine wrote on Telegram.

Mr. Yermak said that among the servicemen who returned to Ukraine were participants in the battles in Mariupol, in the zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, on Snake Island, near Bakhmut, as well as “defenders of Azovstal.”
