On June 1, Thailand lifted the quarantine for all travelers arriving in the country, regardless of vaccination status. From now on, vaccinated tourists are required to enter only documents, a vaccination certificate and medical insurance that can cover $10,000. .

The Thai government expects that the increase in tourist traffic will be able to help restore the economy of the country, which suffered from the coronavirus pandemic. In total, in January-July 2022, 3.78 million tourists visited the country, mainly citizens of Malaysia, Singapore and India.
