Russia and India are discussing the creation of joint institutions for the reinsurance of oil transportation, said Denis Manturov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
“This topic is on the agenda of our financial bodies, in particular the Central Bank. To say that an agreement will be signed tomorrow and a structure will be created – so far there is no such thing, ”said Manturov (quote according to TASS).
According to him, the appearance of such a structure is possible before the end of the year. “There is still a lot of time until the end of the year: only four months have passed, and even then not full ones.” he added.
At the end of March, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that in 2022 Russia would redirect oil supplies to friendly countries, including India, increasing exports to this country by 22 times compared to 2021.
Novak also added that Russia has increased oil supplies to China.
