The Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) reported that it received 21 requests from athletes for the use of prohibited substances and methods (TUE) for therapeutic purposes in March, which is 2.6 times more than in February. The press service of RUSADA reported this TASS.

RUSADA clarified that it had approved 10 out of 21 requests. In February, the agency approved three of the eight relevant requests, and in January, all six requests. In 2022, the agency received 78 such requests, and 40 were approved.

If the request is approved, the athlete receives permission to use drugs containing substances prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for a certain period of time on medical grounds.
