Runaway cat returns to US and rings doorbell

The owner of an 8-year-old cat named Lilly Stephanie Whitley told reporters that she and her family had recently moved to the village, so the pet did not know the new area well. At first, the cat was not allowed outside the house so that she could get used to the new place of residence. However? despite all the efforts of the hostess, the fluffy prankster found a loophole and was able to go outside, where she disappeared.

“Lilly always comes home,” said the purring traveler’s owner. She is a very smart cat. She responds to her name and comes when she is called.” Utley added that she never doubted that Lilly would return home, but after she went missing for a week, “things were different.”

The Utli family organized a search for the pet, but after seven days the children began to lose hope that they would be able to see their cat again. Prior to that, they had already experienced the loss of two of their other pets. But a week later, the doorbell of the house rang and Stephanie Wheatley identified her Lilly in the surveillance camera. “The last thing we expected to see in this world is a cat’s face in a cell,” the American told reporters.

She added that she was very happy about the return of her cat and is sure that Lilly rang the doorbell on purpose, because being a smart animal she knew how to use it.
