Poland is preparing to tighten the rules of stay for citizens of Ukraine; the corresponding work in the Polish government has already begun, Gazeta Prawna reports.
As noted, the Polish authorities have extended the stay of Ukrainian refugees until June 30, and until the end of this period the previous conditions and benefits will remain in effect. However, for the next period it is proposed to change the benefits for Ukrainians.
The main innovation may be the abolition of temporary protection for traveling to Ukraine. In this case, the Polish authorities will believe that the Ukrainian refugee considers staying in his homeland more dangerous than she does. Now travel is available for Ukrainians for 30 days.
It is also planned to cancel the issuance of “lifting” funds for new arrivals in the amount of 300 zlotys, as well as to more carefully check those who are in arrears on payments. Thus, it is noted that many refugees from Ukraine, despite their obligations, do not compensate half of the costs for accommodation and food in accommodation centers.
