Russians will be able to choose which of the accompanying persons the child will be with during the flight, informs the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation. The flight rules, as specified, were changed at the direction of the head of the supervisory agency Igor Krasnov.
Now, as the statement says, passengers are given the choice of which accompanying person the child will fly with. This will be announced at check-in counters and on airline websites.
Due to numerous reports in the media, as well as appeals from citizens themselves, the Prosecutor General of Russia ordered to check whether airports and carriers comply with the rights of passengers with young children.
It has been established that the local regulations of some airlines in this area do not comply with the law. Thus, children and parents are often seated on airplanes.
The changes are aimed at protecting children’s rights.
