The “Trinity” icon by Andrei Rublev will remain in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior until June 23, the day of the Holy Trinity. Then she will be taken to the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, the TV channel reported “TV-Center”which broadcast a festive Christmas Vespers.

“He will remain in the temple until the day of the Holy Trinity, or Pentecost. This holiday falls on June 23 this year. On Trinity, it will already move to the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, for the Trinity Cathedral of which it was originally written,” said theologian Alexey Svetozarsky, the broadcaster (quoted from TASS).

Before this, the icon was in the Tretyakov Gallery. The decision to transfer it to the Russian Orthodox Church was made by President Vladimir Putin last spring.
