The decision to disqualify Andrei Rublev was announced by the tournament supervisor, explaining that the line judge understood Russian. In a conversation with the supervisor, the tennis player also used an obscene word, they reported “News”. As a result of the disqualification, Andrei Rublev lost all earned prize money and ranking points. He dropped to sixth place in the Association of Tennis Professionals rankings.
The prize fund of the tournament exceeds $2.9 million. The current winner of the competition is Russian Daniil Medvedev, in 2022 the tournament was won by Andrey Rublev, in 2021 by Aslan Karatsev.
