Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev made it to the semi-finals of the final ATP tournament, defeating the representative of Greece, Stefanos Tsitsipas.
The match of the third round of the group stage of the tournament of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) in Turin ended with a score of 3:6, 6:3, 6:2 in favor of Rublev. The Russian was seeded under the sixth number, Tsitsipas under the second. The match lasted 1 hour 42 minutes.
Thus, Rublev took second place in the group and secured his performance in the semi-finals. Serb Novak Djokovic became the winner of the group.
In the semi-finals, Rublev will face Norway’s Kasper Ruud, while Taylor Fritz will face Novak Djokovic. The total prize pool of the tournament is $14.75 million.
Rublev plays for the third time in his career at the final ATP tournament, at the previous two (2020, 2021) he failed to leave the group.
