RT: The European Parliament is waiting for clarification on Hungary’s position on anti-Russian sanctions

Member of the European Parliament, the Hungarian opposition Istvan Uyheyi complained to the European Commission about the ambiguous, in his opinion, the actions of the ruling party of Hungary. In the letter, he drew attention to the fact that the Fidesz party, led by Prime Minister Viktor Orban, openly opposes the common position and policy of the EU on Russia. The text of the letter was at the disposal of RT.
According to the parliamentarian, the ruling party has repeatedly voiced its position that the sanctions imposed on Russia are actually destroying the EU economy and enriching Moscow.
The deputy asked the European Commission for clarifications on these statements, as well as clarifications on what kind of agreements were between Brussels and Budapest during the negotiations on joining the sanctions and how Hungary motivated its position.
He explained that he really wants to find out whether there are grounds for talking about the destruction of the European economy by anti-Russian sanctions and the enrichment of Russia.
A month ago, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that because of the EU sanctions policy, Hungary has lost about 10 billion euros this year alone. The head of the cabinet of ministers also stressed that restrictions are the path to war.
