RPL. 9th round. Lantratov saves Khimki on City Day

It was on September 10, when Khimki and Wings of the Soviets played a match of the next round in the Moscow Region, that the residents of both cities celebrated their birthdays. And if the players of the home team did not lose for the first time after five defeats, then the guests were satisfied with the match without a missed goal – also for the first time in the championship. What exactly won Samarans – so it’s in support of their team. Although there were fewer guest fans, they supported the “wings” throughout the match with chants, applause, and cheering shouts. Khimki residents (especially the fan tribune) silently watched what was happening. Yes, Khimki, in order to return the fans to the stands, they definitely need to play differently: three shots on target (getting into the rack with a shot on target is not considered) by Ivan Lomaev, this is nothing compared to how his counterpart, the goalkeeper, had to work hosts Ilya Lantratov.

It was he who became the best player of the meeting. At least four times the Khimki goalkeeper saved his goal from an inevitable goal. Among other players, the hosts can be noted for playing football, perhaps, only the veteran Glushakov, who came out in the second half. He clung to the ball, and organized counterattacks and interceptions, he succeeded. And most importantly, Denis showed a desire to play football. But forward Khimki Lomovitsky showed only very poor theatrical skills: his picturesque falls and disputes with the referee clearly did not add “fire” to the attacking abilities of the team. It was Oleksandr who once again “lay down” in the guests’ half of the field, demanding punishment from the referee. Meanwhile, his comrades “cooked” a penalty for themselves.

The first, however, like all the others, Samara did not use a real scoring chance. The goalkeeper of the hosts Lantratov turned out to be on top, who in the very corner got the ball, launched from the penalty spot by Mateo Baracs.

Mirzov played football even less convincingly. He, like his attacking partner Lovovitsky, argued with the referee, for which he was punished with a mustard plaster. But Reziuan did not participate in the creation: he did not hold the ball, the passes were mainly to the opponent, and the blows to the “milk”.

Samarans also attacked plenty, combined and competently kept the ball and the initiative. True, this did not give any result, well, except for a draw with a positive result with an opponent who did not create anything at the guest gate at all. The cool situations created by Sokolov, Khubulov, Glushenkov and the young Pinyaev were really beautiful – both in thought and in tactics. But none of them ended with a goal. I repeat – because there, on this festive day for both cities, Ilya Lantratov did his right thing.

“Distinguished” in the meeting and the referee. In the 69th minute of the match, Vladimir Moskalev mistakenly, in my humble opinion, did not show a red card and did not send off the guest player Roman Yezhov. Samarets behaved aggressively, before joining the fight with Alexander Filin, he put out his elbow and hit his opponent in the head. Even watching “TV” did not convince the judge of the meeting – only a yellow card.

A goalless draw is clearly not the “icing on the cake” that should be on the City Day: both for Khimki and for Samara.

To the question of the correspondent of our publication, whether there was a mistake in compiling the starting lineup, the Wings coach Igor Osinkin answered this way: “If we talk about mistakes in the starting lineup, do you think that Glushenkov is a coaching mistake if we put him in? We hope that the injury will pass quickly. We really missed his movement in the game. Our leader is gone. For such a game, which could be in the second half, Glushenkov is a valuable player for us. Sokolov had to be changed. We decided that we need a faster player. Pinyaev played 20 minutes at that time, we are increasing his playing time. I don’t think we made a mistake.”

“Very good game. Something worked, something didn’t. I would like to thank the guys for their dedication that they withstood such a volume of workload. There was a very good game, there was possession. I would like to see the bottom come out more, but the opposing team blocked. It was what we were preparing for. We played according to our scenario. Judging by some result is wrong. Of course, we are far from a perfect game, but there are glimpses. If we had scored, we would have said that Khimki are young. For some reason, the coach is evaluated by the result. We must get away from this. The result will come when there is a game. Today was a game. Once again, I want to congratulate my team and players. They quickly rebuild, listen to the head coach. Closed the weekly cycle, moving on. We need to recover and move on. For us, the motivation is to win every match. I really want as many people as possible to come to the stadium. If we show aggressive football, we will attract spectators to the stadium. We play for the fans,” Khimki coach Spartak Gogniev answered my question about tactics for the match.
