Rostov defeated Dynamo with a score of 4:1

The next round of the Russian Championship opened with a sensational match. “Rostov” gave a brutal beating to Dynamo, which is in third place in the championship, defeating them with a score of 4:1, which in fact could have been much larger.
At the beginning of the Moscow match there was an episode that, perhaps, made those who are not indifferent to Rostov remember that in domestic football before the 22nd round there was a rather long pause associated with the presidential elections and the March international window, and that Valery Karpin spent most of it coaching not the club, but the national team. Somehow the guests looked very awkward in it: Maxim Osipenko’s pass was intercepted, and Jorge Carrascal’s exit was disrupted not so much by his author rushing back to correct himself, but by Carrascal himself, who inopportunely stepped on the ball. At that moment it was impossible to imagine what would happen next.
And then there was an even more rude mistake than Osipenko’s, a blunder by Dynamo goalkeeper Igor Leshchuk. He passed the ball away from Eli Dasa’s goal, not paying attention to the fact that Kirill Shchetinin was lurking behind him. A loss and a disappointing goal.
But Leshchuk’s mistake was not the issue. The trick was that after a couple of minutes it was possible to confidently state that Dynamo had never entered the field this season so bad, so dismantled. Rostov fans, however, probably liked the version that these guests, who due to some misunderstanding are in the middle of the table, are so good that even one of its flagships, compared to them, seems completely incompetent, having forgotten basic things. In any case, it is important that Rostov tormented Dynamo about as cruelly as the Russian national team, trained by Karpin, recently tormented the Serbs who remained in the minority at the same stadium. No, even more ruthless.
Leshchuk helped out when Ronaldo got ahead of Sergei Parshivlyuk. However, Rostov soon tore apart the Dynamo defense with a throw through the center and a cool jumping pass from Mohammad Mohebi to Danil Glebov, who shot the goalkeeper.
Then Dynamo got terribly lucky. The ball from the foot of Roberto Fernandez, who was frantically interrupting what was threatening to turn into a goal cross from Yegor Golenkov, ricocheted into the crossbar. And after that Ronaldo almost jumped out at Leshchuk again.
For Dynamo fans, everything that was done to their team was probably painful and disgusting to watch. And they were probably not very surprised that the hosts conceded another goal before the break – after Golenkov, having struggled in the air, provided the opportunity for Mokhebi’s killer strike. And after all, 3:0 in favor of “Rostov” by the break did not push for too much. On the contrary, they were relying on Dynamo’s luck. This is such an anomaly.
Dynamo really wanted to correct this difference. And it seemed like they even spent the break wisely: they adjusted the lineup, added (even after God knows how much stupidity in defense that almost resulted in Shchetinin’s goal) in accuracy. But Rostov scored again anyway. He scored thanks to the masterpiece of Mohebi, who, in a tiny area of the field, dealt with Diego Laxalt and Fabian Balbuena, two experienced opponents, as easily and gracefully, as if a seasoned football trickster were confronted by “dummies” pulled out of the auditorium.
And only then did Rostov relax. One could decide that it was with intent. In such a match, it was necessary to let the only player who didn’t have a chance to show off his skills properly show off. And goalkeeper Sergei Pesyakov showed – he took shots at point-blank range, reacted to unexpected rebounds, although once the ball veered from its original trajectory literally three meters from him.
Dynamo managed to break the score only in the end. In principle, it worked well, almost as befits a club with big claims. But, of course, this Dynamo zeal could no longer create even a hint of intrigue.
22nd round
