The new shipborne remote-controlled combat module “Narwhal”, designed to destroy surface, coastal targets, sea mines and defend ships from sea and air drones, was presented at the international military-technical forum “Army-2023” by the UVZ concern (part of the Rostec state corporation “). The module can be installed as a main or auxiliary weapon system on light boats with a displacement of up to 20 tons. The main armament is a 12.7 mm Kord machine gun. To compensate for rolling when firing on the move, the module is equipped with a three-plane gyro stabilization of the aiming system and guns, as well as an automatic target tracking machine.
The sighting system includes a day camera, a thermal imager and a laser rangefinder. It is also possible to equip the module with a weather station, an all-round surveillance system, a radar with a detection range of up to 600 m, and means of defense against high-precision weapons.
On August 14, the United Engine Corporation (UEC) of Rostec presented at the Army-2023 international military-technical forum a mock-up of the promising SM-100 engine for the upgraded Yak-130M combat training aircraft. SM-100 is a development of the AI-222-25 base engine. The new engine will have improved performance with similar dimensions and weight, for example, the maximum thrust will increase by 20%, and the resource will double.
