Rostec is ready to take control of the Klimovsky cartridge plant – Kommersant

The Rostec State Corporation has announced its readiness to take control of Klimovsky Specialized Cartridge Plant CJSC. As Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov reported, the process of nationalization of the enterprise was launched after an accident, due to which there was no heating in the city of Klimovsk on January 4 remained residents of 173 apartment buildings.

“Taking into account the fact that Rostec today unites about 90% of enterprises in the ammunition industry, and part of the plant’s shares already belongs to the state corporation, we are ready to take the situation into our own hands and ensure control over the asset in the interests of the state. The Klimovsky Cartridge Plant needs to be nationalized, and a corresponding appeal to the head of state is already being prepared,” the press service of the state corporation told RIA Novosti.

According to Rostec, the nationalization of the plant will ensure the fulfillment of production tasks and social obligations that the enterprise has. In addition, after the plant in Klimovsk comes under the control of Rostec, it will be possible to increase the level of industrial safety, the state corporation believes. Now the controlling stake in Klimovsky Specialized Cartridge Plant CJSC is in private hands.

On January 4, in the northeast of the city of Klimovsk, residents of 173 apartment buildings were left without heating. The cause was a breakthrough in the heating main due to an accident in the boiler room of the Klimovsky Specialized Cartridge Plant. January 9, Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov reportedthat the plant will be nationalized. According to him, many violations were revealed at the enterprise, in particular, there was practically no qualified personnel there.
