Former head of the Russian Defense Ministry Anatoly Serdyukov did not go abroad, reported RBC in the press service of the state corporation “Rostec”. Mr. Serdyukov works in the corporation as an industrial director of the aviation complex.
On the morning of January 29 Telegram channel BRIEF, referring to the words of former vice-president Alexander Rutskoy, said that Mr. Serdyukov emigrated to the United Arab Emirates. “We don’t know where Rutskoi is, but Serdyukov is at work, that’s absolutely certain,” the Rostec press service said.
Anatoly Serdyukov served as Minister of Defense of Russia in 2007-2012. He was dismissed amid a corruption scandal and an investigation into fraud in the Oboronservis company. In 2013, a case of negligence was initiated against him (part 1 of article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), but in 2014 he was amnestied. Since 2018, Mr. Serdyukov has been on the board of the United Construction Corporation, which is part of Rostec.
