Rostec announced an increase in the production of MLRS “Tornado-G” and “Tornado-S”

The production of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) “Tornado-G” and “Tornado-S” has reached its maximum volume over the past ten years. This was reported in the press service of the state corporation “Rostec”.

“The military division of the Motovilikha Plants, due to the increased production volumes, switched to work in three shifts. The production of combat vehicles from the Tornado-G and Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems has increased significantly compared to last year, ”Rostec said (quote from “RIA News”). The press service noted that the state defense order (GOZ) is being carried out in full at Motovilikha Plants.

Part of the property complex of Motovilikhinskiye Zavody, including non-core assets that are not involved in the core business of the enterprise, was put up for auction. But, as specified in the company, the sale of part of the property will not affect the production of weapons and military equipment. According to the press service, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Industry and Trade control the preservation of the designated purpose of property and the execution of contracts.

After the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia, Rostec promised accelerate the pace of implementation of the state defense order. The state corporation accounts for up to 40% of the entire state defense order. On September 20, at a meeting with representatives of the military-industrial complex, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to increase the production capacity of a number of defense industry enterprises, as well as to study Western weapons that fall into the hands of the Russian military in Ukraine in order to improve the domestic one.
