Rosstat will expand the list of goods and services included in the consumer basket for calculating monthly inflation and include eight items. The changes will come into effect on January 1, 2023. Taking into account the update, the set of goods and services for monthly monitoring next year will be 566 items.

From external tourist destinations, trips to Cyprus, Morocco and Tunisia (Turkey and Egypt will remain), Israel and Jordan (UAE will remain), India, the Maldives and Sri Lanka (Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand will remain) will no longer play a role in calculating inflation. ).
In addition, the list of tourist destinations that are taken into account when calculating inflation has been adjusted. Due to the high price and the small number of offers, tours to Cyprus, Morocco and Tunisia are excluded from the category “Trips to certain countries of the Mediterranean”. For the same reason, trips to Israel and Jordan are excluded from the list of “Trips to Selected Countries in the Middle East”. Rosstat also excluded trips to India, the Maldives and Sri Lanka from the category of trips to the countries of Southeast Asia.
