Rosstat: retail trade turnover slowed down decline to 7.9% yoy in November

The retail trade turnover in Russia in November amounted to 3.6 trillion rubles, which is 7.9% less than in the same period in 2021, follows from Rosstat data. In October, the retail trade turnover decreased by 9.7%. In January-November 2022, the indicator decreased by 6.2% compared to the same period in 2021, amounting to 38.3 trillion rubles.
“Retail trade turnover in November 2022 amounted to 3578.2 billion rubles, or 92.1% (in comparable prices) compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, in January-November 2022 – 38311.4 billion rubles, or 93.8%” , says in review “Socio-economic situation in Russia” for January-November 2022.
Food retail turnover decreased to 1.768 trillion rubles, by 3.4% compared to 2021. The turnover of non-food retail fell to 1.811 trillion rubles, by 11.7%.
